One Killed, Two Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash in Winnetka Area
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (July 6, 2022) – A fatal rollover crash on West Parthenia Street near Winnetka Avenue happened Wednesday morning in the Winnetka area of Los Angeles.
The two-vehicle traffic accident happened about 9:15 a.m. in the 20100 block of West Parthenia Street, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Two people became trapped in one of the involved vehicles after it overturned during the collision, authorities said. The 17-year-old boy driving the vehicle reportedly died at the scene. Meanwhile, a 20-year-old man riding as a passenger with him in the vehicle was badly hurt.
Paramedics transported the injured man to a hospital in critical condition, officials with the LAFD said.
Meanwhile, a third patient was riding in the second vehicle. The woman, believed to be around 40 years old, was found near the curb with minor injuries, fire officials said.
Police redirected traffic away from the area so that they could conduct an investigation into what led up to the fatal crash on Parthenia Street.
