Car Accident at 66th Avenue in Mecca
MECCA, Calif. (August 16, 2022) — A Mecca car accident happened Tuesday morning at 66th Avenue and Dale Kiler Road.
The collision occurred about 3 a.m. on August 16th, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a vehicle was on the side of the roadway “destroyed and covered in dirt” and “someone was screaming inside” the vehicle.
Paramedics responded with police to the location at the bridge near the end of the 66th Avenue Bypass. They transported at least one person by ambulance to Desert Hospital.
It’s unknown what led up to the crash at this time, nor how many people were involved in the crash.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault.
