1 Killed in Kerman Crash at Highway 180 and Shasta Avenue
KERMAN, CA (September 17, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person at Highway 180 and Shasta Avenue in Kerman.
UPDATE: Woman killed in Highway 180 crash identified
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 9:18 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Kerman. They crashed at the intersection of Highway 180, known as Whitesbridge Avenue, and Shasta Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the cars involved as a green Camry and a blue Camry. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel then confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Highway 180 and Shasta Avenue to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Kerman crash is still under investigation.
