Woman, 80, Killed Two Dogo Argentino Dogs in Baldy Mesa Area
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 10, 2022) — Soon Han, 80, of Baldy Mesa, died following a dog attack Friday, Oct. 7th at Vinton Street and Mesa Road in the Baldy Mesa area.
The 80-year-old San Bernardino County woman was attacked by two loose Dogo Argentino dogs she walked in the area, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Paramedics responded and located the unresponsive woman in the roadway at the Baldy Mesa intersection about 11 a.m., according to East Bay Times. Soon Han was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, investigators believe the dogs who killed the woman, live nearby, police said.
Authorities later located the owner and San Bernardino County Animal Control seized both of the dogs.
The breed of the two dogs is Dogo Argentino,. a muscular dog breed developed in Argentina to hunt large game. There will be a vicious-dog hearing scheduled and the owner is cooperating, according to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.
Furthermore, the Sheriff’s Department is working to find out how the dogs became loose and if this has happened before.
