Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 in San Carlos
SAN CARLOS, Calif. (Nov. 3, 2022) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Thursday morning on Highway 101 just north of the Brittan Avenue on ramp in San Carlos.
The collision occurred about 6:46 a.m. on Nov. 3rd and blocked all four southbound lanes of the highway, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a Honda Accord, a Hyunda Sonata, a BMW and a Mercedes are among the vehicles involved. All of them appeared to sustain both front and rear-end damage in the collision. However, it appears one or two more vehicles left the scene without stopping to exchange information, police said.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, but CHP officials classified the injuries as minor.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
