Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2022) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Tuesday morning on Highway 101, just north of Carrillo Street in Santa Barbara.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes about 5:34 a.m. on Nov. 15th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The Santa Barbara Police Department responded with CHP deputies to the crash scene where they located several motorists that collided including a silver Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a silver Mazda 626, a gray Toyota 4-door sedan and one other vehicle. The pickup sustained major front-end damage in the collision, police said.
Paramedics also responded to help those hurt in the crash including at least one with major injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the Toyota and Mazda from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Santa Barbara crash on Highway 101.
