TRACY, Calif. (Dec. 13, 2022) — A major injury crash involving a FedEx truck and a van happened Tuesday morning at the Mountain House Parkway off ramp from the westbound Interstate 205 Freeway.
The two-vehicle crash occurred about 4:52 a.m. on Dec. 13th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials report the two vehicles went off both sides of the roadway after the semi-truck allegedly ran through a red light.
Paramedics responded and located one of the vehicles roughly 35 to 100 feet down the embankment. The semi-truck driver suffered major injuries in the collision, the report said.
Paramedics responded with an ambulance to transport the driver to a hospital. It’s unknown if the driver of the van was also hurt.
Meanwhile, tow trucks came to remove both the truck and van from the crash scene.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
