SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. (Jan. 31, 2023) — Rex Aziz Devenny, 19, of San Juan Capistrano, and Riley Hans Sullivan, 21, of Creston, both died in a crash Sunday on Rancho Viejo Road.
The collision occurred about 10 p.m. on Jan. 29th at Malaspina Road in Orange County, according to the Orange County Register.
The two men and a third person were riding together in a car that crashed into a tree at the San Juan Capistrano intersection, just east of the I-5 Freeway.
Police responded and located the two men in the front seats of the sedan. Riley Sullivan was driving the vehicle and Rex Devenny was a front-seat passenger. A third man was in the back seat and survived the wreck, but was in critical condition.
Paramedics rushed the injured man to Mission Hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
