Driver Arrested for Fatal Death of Bicyclist
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2022) — Adriana Rivera Bernal, 36, of Anaheim, was arrested following a hit-and-run bicycle accident Sunday on Jamboree Road in Newport Beach that killed Randon William Cintron, 45, of Costa Mesa.
The deadly crash occurred about 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11th, near Bay View Way, according to the Newport Beach Police Department. The victim suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, Newport Beach police searched for the suspect who fled without stopping to help the victim. They eventually located her in the 2100 block of Eastbluff Drive near Corona del Mar High School, according to City News Service.
Anaheim Woman Arrested for Hit-and-run
Police booked Adriana Rivera Bernal and booked her into the Orange County Jail. She is being held in lieu of over $1 million bail, according to County News Service.
Finally, witnesses are asked to contact the Newport Beach Police Department.
A GoFundMe page for Randon William Cintron has raised more than $20,000 for his funeral expenses.
