Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-680 Freeway in Alamo
ALAMO, Calif. (April 28, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash in Alamo happened Thursday on the Interstate 680 Freeway at the Stone Valley Road East off ramp.
The collision occurred on the southbound I-680 at 9:14 a.m. on April 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Ford Focus, a gray Honda Civic, a champagne Lexus and an older-model, brown Ford Escape SUV collided due to unknown circumstances.
One of the smaller sedans suffered major front-end damage and was missing its right front wheel. The Ford Escape SUV suffered major rear-end damage in the crash. The vehicles blocked the Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes of the roadway.
Police issued a SigAlert due to so many lanes being blocked by the vehicles.
Meanwhile, firefighters responded to help those injured in the crash. There are no further details about those hurt.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash.
