Sacramento Man, 55, Struck and Killed on Freeway
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 5, 2023) – Allen Walter Walley, 55, of Sacramento, died in a pedestrian accident on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of the Richards Boulevard off ramp on Monday in Sacramento.
The deadly crash occurred at 5:45 a.m. on July 3rd, according to the CHP and the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
A driver struck the pedestrian in the northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 Freeway near the off ramp, according to a report by CBS News.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time or why the man was on the freeway.
Paramedics with the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed the man’s death.
He was later identified by the Sacramento coroner as Allen Walley.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation.
