Pedestrian Killed on 10 Freeway in East LA
EAST LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 17, 2023) – Andrew Perez Villela, 34, died in a pedestrian accident on the Interstate 10 Freeway in East Los Angeles.
The deadly collision occurred around 10:10 p.m. on Sunday, May 14th, according to a dispatch report by the California Highway Patrol.
The man was reportedly crossing eastbound lanes on the I-10 Freeway when at least one vehicle struck him just after 10 p.m., police said.
Andrew Perez Villela suffered major injuries and died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County
coroner’s office. The coroner identified the victim on its website, but did not disclosed his city of residence.
It’s unknown why the man was on the freeway, but police continue to investigate the case.
