2-Vehicle Apple Valley Crash on I-15 Freeway
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (Dec. 17, 2021) — A two-vehicle Apple Valley car accident Thursday night happened on the Interstate 15 Freeway, just south of Dale Evans Parkway.
The collision occurred just before 5 p.m. on Dec. 16th and resulted in a temporary closure of the northbound I-15 in Apple Valley, according to Victor Valley News.
The drivers of a silver Ford Mustang and a Toyota Camry were allegedly racing one another prior to the collision, a witness told dispatchers with the California Highway Patrol. The vehicles may have also collided with other motorists.
Firefighters responded to the Apple Valley car accident and located several vehicles with major damage.
It’s unknown if anyone was injured, but paramedics did not take anyone to the hospital.
Meanwhile, multiple tow trucks responded to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway. One of the vehicles lost its engine during the collision.
Finally, CHP officials are investigating the cause of the Apple Valley car accident and will hold all responsible drivers liable.
The freeway reopened to traffic at 5:56 p.m.
