APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (Oct. 4, 2022) — Usha Martin, 56, and Bhagwan Gill, 51, were arrested Saturday at a residential care facility on Algonquin Road after they were accused of abusing disabled residents in their facility.
Now police are seeking to find out if there are more victims of abuse from the Apple Valley facility, according to the Victor Valley News Group.
The Apple Valley Police Department reported they arrested the two owners of the facility about 1:06 p.m. at 12631 Algonquin Road on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
Investigators received a report of a dependent disabled adult being abused there.
Police obtained a search warrant and during the investigation into the incident. That’s when they discovered two more victims at the Apple Valley residential care facility. The victims ages are 29, 36 and 37 years old.
Police booked both Usha Martin and Bhagwan Gill at the High Desert Detention Center on dependent adult abuse charges. The pair posted bail and police released them from jail.
Meanwhile, the Apple Valley Police Department is asking for the public’s help and they suspect there could be other victims.
