Oceanside Man, 21, Killed in Pedestrian Accident
OCEANSIDE, Calif. (April 24, 2024) — Armando Gutierrez, 21, of Oceanside, died in a pedestrian accident April 14th while walking with friends across Oceanside Boulevard in Oceanside.
The group of friends were crossing the street at around 7:39 p.m. on April 14th. That’s when two of them, including the Oceanside man, were hit by an eastbound vehicle, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The driver stopped and called 911 for paramedics and police who rushed to the crash scene.
Paramedics transported the injured man to the Tri-City Medical Center Emergency Department, however, he became unresponsive as they were preparing him to be airlifted to a trauma center. Armando Gutierrez was pronounced dead at 8:32 p.m. the same day.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Oceanside Boulevard.
