Homeless Woman Killed in Pomona Pedestrian Accident
POMONA, Calif. (October 7, 2021) – Ashley Vega, 29, who was homeless, was killed in a pedestrian accident on Mission Boulevard near Dudley Street in Pomona.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened about 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6th, according to The Daily Bulletin and My News LA.,
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the victim on their website.
A driver struck the woman as she reportedly walked into traffic lanes in the 1700 block of West Mission Boulevard.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Pomona
Firefighters and paramedics responded and located the Ashley Vega lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Shortly after they arrived they pronounced her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the motorist involved stopped their vehicle and cooperated with the Pomona Police Department and the investigation. The cause of the Pomona pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
Police closed down both lanes of Mission Boulevard between Curran Place and Oak Avenue following the crash.
