Bakersfield Crash at Fruitvale Avenue, Cherrywood Avenue

Multi-Vehicle Collision on Fruitvale Avenue in Kern County

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (April 12, 2024) — A Bakersfield crash on Fruitvale Avenue at Cherrywood Avenue happened Friday morning in Kern County.

Two or three vehicles were involved in the 12:27 p.m. collision on April 12th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Ford pickup truck, a black Chevrolet pickup truck and a gray Toyota Prius were involved.

It’s unknown what led up to the traffic accident in this residential neighborhood that left the Chevrolet truck with major front-end damage.

Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries and a tow truck removed the damaged Chevrolet from the roadway.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Fruitvale Avenue in Bakersfield.
