Truck Overturns in Crash on 57 Freeway in Orange County
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (March 25, 2024) — An EverGreen Industries big rig truck crossed through the center divide of the 57 Freeway and overturned in a fiery crash Monday morning, just south of Imperial Highway in Fullerton.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred at around 8:05 a.m. on March 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The northbound box truck went through the center divider, collided with other motorists and overturned onto its side in the southbound lanes, the CHP report said. Fuel spilled from the truck and caught on fire before it burst into flames.
Several other vehicles were involved in the crash, but it’s unknown how many people were injured at this time. An orange 2013 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Bradley Makorow was among the vehicles damaged in the collision. Also, a black Volkswagen Jetta sedan was hit by debris while traveling by as the crash occurred. Two white sedans were also damaged in the crash.
Metro Net Fire Authority responded to help those who were injured in the crash and firefighters extinguished the fire from the truck.
Investigators are working to determine liability for the collision.
