Sacramento Man, 36, Killed in Crash on Lemon Hill Avenue
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (December 29, 2021) – Brandon Scott Smith, 36, of Sacramento, died Dec. 23rd in a pedestrian accident on Lemon Hill Avenue between Francine Drive and 69th Street.
The fatal collision happened just before 7 p.m. just two days before Christmas, according to CBS Sacramento News. The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the Sacramento man who died on their website.
A vehicle struck the victim due to unknown circumstances at the South Sacramento intersection. Witnesses told police the victim was underneath his car working on it at when the collision occurred.
Paramedics responded and located Brandon Smith with serious injuries and lying on the ground. Despite performing life-saving saving measures on the victim, he sadly succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver who struck the pedestrian stopped and cooperated with the investigation.
It’s unknown if there are any pending charges or citations due to the crash.
