Head-on Crash at Chimney Rock and Godfrey Roads
LAKE NACIMIENTO, Calif. (May 9, 2024) — A head-on car accident at Chimney Rock Road and Godfrey Road happened Thursday in the Lake Nacimiento area.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the westbound lanes at around 12:26 p.m. on May 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a green SUV and a white compact car collided when one driver veered into the path of the other driver. One of the vehicles wound up in the bushes on the side of the roadway.
A man who witnessed the crash from his rearview mirror told CHP dispatch operators that the white car almost struck his vehicle too.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries and tow trucks removed both of the vehicles from the scene.
