BRENTWOOD, Calif. (Feb. 28, 2023) — A multi-vehicle car accident on Highway 4 at Marsh Creek Road happened Tuesday morning in the Brentwood area.
The major injury collision occurred about 9:54 a.m. on Feb. 28th in the eastbound lanes of Vasco Road also known as State Route Highway 4, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers involved included two SUVs and possibly, a black sedan that failed to stop. The white SUV suffered major front-end damage in the crash and the second SUV landed off road in a ditch where it caught on fire.
A witness told CHP investigators that a driver in a black sedan allegedly caused the collision due to reckless driving, but it’s unknown if the motorist stopped.
Paramedics responded and transported at least one person with major injuries to a hospital. It’s unknown how many people in total were hurt in the Brentwood crash.
Meanwhile, two tow trucks responded to remove the two damaged SUVs.
The cause of the crash and liability remains under investigation by the CHP.
