4 Vehicles Involved in Crash in Edenvale Area
San Jose, Calif. (June 29, 2023) — A multi-vehicle car accident occurred Thursday morning in the Edenvale area of San Jose, on Highway 101 also known as South Valley Freeway.
The collision occurred about 8:51 a.m. on June 29th, near SR-85 in Santa Clara County, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A semi truck and a white Chevrolet pick-up truck collided on South Valley Freeway. The white Chevrolet’s airbags were deployed, the truck started smoking and a tire became lost. A set of grandparents were behind the wheel of the white Chevrolet and were injured inside the car. All people involved in the collision made their way away from the vehicles and soon afterwards the paramedics were called. The paramedics arrived along with the fire department to help those injured in the crash.
Additionally two other vehicles became involved in the accident. One being a GMC Canyon, and the other a silver Toyota Corolla. The Toyota was found 30 feet off the roadway and the GMC had major damage especially to the front wheels which became broken due to the collision. Tow trucks were requested to aid in removing the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
