MODESTO, Calif. (May 9, 2022) — Carlo Higuerra, 26, of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of DUI following an alleged hit-and-run crash Sunday on Albers Road near Dusty Lane.
The collision occurred about 9 a.m. on May 8th, according to the Modesto Bee.
Three men reportedly fled on foot after the alleged DUI, hit-and-run crash.
The collision involved three vehicles including a 2003 Volkswagen driven by Carlo Higuerra, the California Highway Patrol reported. He was traveling with two passengers and heading north of Albers Road, police said.
At some point, Higuerra’s vehicle partially entered the southbound lane and collided with a 2016 Nissan SUV driven by Dalton Binda, 32 of Turlock, police said.

Also, the third vehicle involved was a 2022 Kia sedan driven by Cheyenne Souza, 21, of Denair.
Her vehicle suffered minor damage from debris when the VW and the Nissan collided, but she was not injured.
