Semi-Truck, 2 Cars Crash at Highway 41, Conejo Avenue
CARUTHERS, Calif. (August 24, 2021) — A multi-vehicle Caruthers car accident happened Monday at Highway 41 and Conejo Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol reported the crash at the Caruthers intersection at 6:24 a.m. on August 24th.
A driver in a white Hyundai or Honda sedan headed northbound on State Route 41 allegedly ran through a red traffic light, crossed over into southbound lanes and collided with a black sedan and a semi-truck, police said.
“The subject in the white vehicle is not moving and the vehicle is totaled,” the CHP report said.
Meanwhile, police report the vehicle began to smoke and came to a stop in the turn lane. Also, the punctured big rig truck fuel tank leaked diesel fuel into the roadway.
Also, firefighters responded to help those injured in the Highway 41 Caruthers car accident.
Finally, investigators will determine liability for the collision.
