Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Freeway in Castaic
CASTAIC, Calif. (April 22, 2024) — A multi-vehicle Castaic car accident happened Monday on the northbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of the lower crossover and Lake Hughes Road.
The major injury collision occurred in the fast lane at around 12:48 p.m. on April 22nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a silver Hyundai Sonata, a white Toyota Cmary and a white BMW sedan were involved in the collision.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and located two people with with injuries who were taken to a hospital. At least one of the patients had major injuries from the crash.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the accident on the 5 Freeway in Castaic.
