2 Injured in Crash at Chico Intersection
CHICO, Calif. (March 31, 2023) — Two people were injured Thursday afternoon after a crash at 8th Street and Salem Street in Chico.
The drivers of a semi-truck and a pickup truck collided around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday at the Chico intersection, according to the Chico Police Department. The big rig truck was turning onto 8th Street from Salem Street when it was hit by an oncoming pickup truck, Action News reports.
Police and paramedics responded and located two people with injuries. They transported them by ambulance to a hospital.
Meanwhile, police closed down W. 8th Street at Salem Street for about an hour.
The crash remains under investigation.
