Pedestrian Killed in 405 Freeway Crash Identified
VAN NUYS, Calif. (July 5, 2022) – Christopher Berry, 39, died in a Van Nuys pedestrian accident on the Interstate 405 Freeway, just south of Burbank Boulevard.
The collision happened about 1:46 a.m. on Friday, July 1st on the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver struck Christopher Berry on the freeway. The man suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
Additionally, the motorist involved in the fatal crash stopped and remained at the scene, the CHP said.
Meanwhile, several lanes of the freeway were closed on the northbound and southbound sides of the freeway for several hours due to the investigation.
