Multi-Vehicle Crash in Colton on the I-215 Freeway
COLTON, Calif. (April 12, 2022) — A multi-vehicle crash on the southbound Interstate 215 Freeway happened Tuesday afternoon, just north of the Iowa Avenue/La Cadena Drive off ramp.
The collision occurred about 12:21 p.m. on April 12th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a white 2013 Infiniti G35 allegedly rear-ended a van and three other motorists, police said. Witnesses told authorities the van was driving recklessly prior to the traffic accident. The vehicles blocked the No. 1 and HOV lanes following the crash.
A driver in a silver Hyundai reportedly suffered injuries in the Colton crash on the 215 Freeway.
Paramedics responded to the scene to help those hurt, but there are no specific details.
Police towed the Infinity and it will be held as evidence.
