Multi-Vehicle, Major Injury Crash on 91 Freeway
CORONA, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2021) — A multi-vehicle Corona crash on the westbound 91 Freeway Thursday left at least one person with injuries.
The collision happened about 10:49 a.m. on Sept. 30th, just east of State Route 71, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported the drivers of a red 1965 Ford Mustang, a silver 2018 Ford Mustang, a white Chevrolet Tahoe SUV, a silver Lexus and a gray Nissan were among seven vehicles involved in the crash. The two Mustangs were first to collided, followed by the other motorists.

One of the vehicles overturned onto its roof in the Fastrak lanes. Some good Samaritans came to help a person trapped inside. Police issued a SigAlert due to multiple lanes being blocked by vehicles.
Meanwhile, a fire erupted in one of the vehicles and someone used a fire extinguisher to put it out before help arrived.
The Corona Fire Department sent paramedics who transported at least one person to Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
The CHP report did not mention how many people suffered injuries in the crash. Tow trucks removed both Mustangs from the scene. The roadway reopened to traffic about 12:12 p.m., police said.
Investigators seek to determine fault.
