Man, 37, Struck and Killed on Jensen Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, Calif. (March 19, 2024) — Cory Smith, 37, died in a pedestrian accident last Thursday morning near Jensen Avenue and Bardell Avenue in southwest Fresno.
The deadly crash occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on March 14th, according to the Fresno County Sheriff-Coroner.
The Fresno Police Department responded to the collision between the victim and a driver in a white Toyota Camry. The motorist was traveling west on Jensen and struck the victim in the roadway between Bardell and MLK Boulevard.
The victim went down in the roadway and was located underneath the car where he died on scene, ABC 30 News reports. The driver stopped their vehicle, called 911 for help and cooperated with authorities.
Meanwhile, investigators questioned the driver about what happened, but alcohol and or drugs were not a factor and no arrests were made.
The case remains under investigation.
