Man, 27, Killed in Car Accident on I-880 in Fremont
FREMONT, Calif. (March 29, 2024) — Daniel Uriah Thrower, 27, of El Sobrante, died in a traffic accident Saturday night on the Interstate 880 Freeway near Decoto Road in Fremont.
The young man was traveling southbound on the I-880 in a white Ford Taurus sedan when he collided with a driver in a blue Toyota Prius, according to the California Highway Patrol. The Ford also crashed into an embankment on the side of the roadway.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the traffic accident.
Daniel Thrower sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the other driver did not report any immediate injuries from the traffic accident.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash.
