Man Struck, Killed on Highway 273 in Redding
Shasta County, Calif. (August 30 2022) – David Allen Brown, 32, died in a Redding pedestrian accident on Highway 273 near Canyon Road, the Shasta County Coroner’s Office said.
The deadly crash occurred in the southbound lanes just before 6 a.m. on Aug. 18th., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a 1999 GMC attempted to avoid hitting the man, but struck the victim who walked into the path of the vehicle, the CHP said. Two other motorists apparently ran over the man in the roadway. He died at the scene.
However, an investigation into the fatal crash continues.
