Man Killed in Woodland Crash Identified
WOODLAND, Calif. (May 6, 2021) – Dennis Coutee, 67, of West Sacramento, died in a collision April 29th on the Interstate 5, also known as West Side Highway.
The California Highway Patrol reported a black SUV crashed in the southbound lanes of the I-5 near an onramp in Yolo. The report did not mention how many people were in the SUV.
Shortly after 1 a.m., firefighters responded with police and found the SUV facing the wrong-way. Additionally, there was a black Ford Ranger also in the area. However, it’s unknown whether or not the Ranger played a role in the accident.
Fatal Woodland Crash
The CHP reported there were major injuries involved, but later the victim died of his injuries, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner. The coroner released the victim’s name as Dennis Coutee.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the Woodland collision.
