Woman Arrested DUI Charges for Fatal Crash at Pioneer and Golden Bear Trails
EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. (Sept. 13, 2022) – Diana Shemyakina, 26, of Antelope, is facing DUI charges after a fatal crash in South Lake Tahoe.
The collision occurred about 7 p.m. on Sept. 12th, according to CBS News.
The Antelope woman and her 34-year-old male passenger were traveling near the intersection when she allegedly made an unsafe turn and crashed her vehicle. The vehicle overturned onto its roof and left her passenger with fatal injuries. The South Lake Tahoe man died following the crash.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported Diana Shemyakina to Barton Memorial Hospital where she is being treated for major injuries.
Authorities apparently plan to arrest her upon her release from the hospital.
