Man Struck, Killed on PCH is Identified
MALIBU, Calif. (April 1, 2024) — Dimitri Failla, 32, was identified as the man who died in a Malibu pedestrian accident Friday morning near Pepperdine on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH).
The deadly crash occurred at around 6:35 a.m. on March 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol and ABC 7 News.
A driver in a Diamond semi-tanker truck reportedly struck the victim in the southbound lanes of PCH at Cross Creek Road, according to ABC 7 News.
Dimitri Failla sustained major injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office later identified him. Meanwhile, the truck driver stopped and cooperated with authorities.
Finally, investigators closed down all traffic lanes to conduct an investigation and gather evidence in the aftermath of the fatal pedestrian accident in Malibu.
