Duglus Rodas-Reyes, 30, ID’d as Suspect in San Pablo Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash
SAN PABLO, CA (January 8, 2022) – Authorities detained Duglus Rodas-Reyes after a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in San Pablo.
Police identified the 30 year-old Richmond man as the suspect in the fatal collision which took place on Friday night.

The incident happened when Duglus Rodas-Reyes was driving a 2005 Dodge Magnum in the area of Giant Road and John Avenue in San Pablo.
Police said for an unknown reason, he struck a male pedestrian near the intersection. The East Bay Times and NBC Bay Area wrote that the accident occurred on January 7 at about 10:12 p.m.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the victim down on the ground. He ended up suffering from severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then pronounced the 19-year-old man dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, Duglus Rodas-Reyes did not stop to help the victim and fled the crash site. Police located him and his car on Enterprise Avenue in Richmond.
Officers arrested Duglus Rodas-Reyes on charges of felony hit-and-run and vehicular manslaughter. They soon booked him into the Contra Costa County Jail.
