
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (February 28, 2023) – Enrique Lopez, 51, of Riverside, was identified as the skateboard rider who died Saturday Feb. 18th in a crash on Arlington Avenue in Riverside.
The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on its website.

The deadly crash occurred about 8:29 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18th as the man was skateboarding westbound on Arlington Avenue near Jones Avenue, according to reports by KTLA 5 News and My News LA,
A driver in a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze struck the 51-year-old man as it drove in the same direction. The rider was knocked off the skateboard and hit the roadway.
Firefighters and paramedics responded and provided life-threatening measures as well as transported Enrique Lopez to Riverside Community Hospital where he died at 8:57 p.m., the coroner said.
Meanwhile, the 72-year-old Alta Loma man driving the Chevrolet stopped and cooperated with authorities and the investigation.
Officers closed down Arlington and Jones avenues to look into the cause of the fatal Riverside skateboard crash.
