Suisun Man Killed in Isleton Crash at Highway 12 and Jackson Slough Road
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (March 28, 2021) – Eric Vandermey, 53, of Suisun City, died Sunday in a two-vehicle crash at Highway 12 and Jackson Slough Road in Isleton, Sacramento County.
The Isleton collision happened just after 3:30 p.m. near Terminous Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Two vehicles collided on the westbound side of Highway 12, police said. Also, the crash happened near Jackson Slough Road. Police closed down the roadway due to the crash.
Additionally, firefighters and paramedics responded to the crash scene where they located a vehicle in a drainage ditch.
Eric Vandermey suffered major injuries and died at the crash scene. The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim as Eric William Vandermey on its website. He is survived by two adult daughters and an adult son.
Investigators are reviewing evidence and witness statements to determine fault. Meanwhile, it’s unknown if drugs and or alcohol were factors in the collision.
