Motorcyclist Hurt in Crash on Interstate 80 Freeway
FAIRFIELD, Calif. (August 30, 2022) — A motorcycle rider suffered injuries in an accident with another motorist on the westbound Interstate 80 Freeway in Fairfield.
The collision occurred about 5:43 a.m. on August 30th, just west of Manuel Campos Parkway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a white Ford collided with the fully-dressed Harley Davidson. The motorcyclist went down in the No. 2 lane and the bike was in the No. 4 lane. Meanwhile, the Ford remained in the No. 3 lane following the crash. All traffic lanes came to a stop following the two-vehicle collision.
Additionally, someone called 911 to report the crash and request paramedics. It’s unknown at this time if the rider was taken to a hospital, but CHP officials say the injuries are minor.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Fairfield motorcycle accident.
