Head-on Crash in Adelanto at El Mirage and Sonora Roads
ADELANTO, Calif. (Feb. 4, 2022) — A fatal Adelanto head-on crash happened early Friday at El Mirage Road and Sonora Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 6:39 a.m. on Feb. 4th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of an older-model pickup truck and a white, 4-door Nissan collided when one of the drivers veered into the path of the other one.
The vehicles blocked both lanes of El Mirage following the crash. At least one person suffered major injuries in the collision. Police and paramedics responded and requested an air ambulance. Meanwhile, at least one person died in the collision. Authorities did not release the victim’s age, gender or name, pending notification of family members.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the fatal Adelanto crash.
