Deadly, Multi-Vehicle Crash in Anaheim
ANAHEIM, Calif. (June 24, 2022) – A fatal Anaheim crash involving multiple vehicles on the Orange (57) Freeway Thursday night left one person dead.
The deadly, multi-vehicle crash occurred about 9:04 p.m. on June 23rd in the northbound Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway near Katella Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers and Metro Net Fire Authority paramedics responded to the crash scene where at least three motorists including a white Ford Mustang, a Dodge Challenger and a gray Jeep had collided, according to the CHP dispatch report. The Dodge also crashed into a wall and caught on fire. One news report mentioned there was also a motorcyclist involved, but that has not been confirmed.
Paramedics treated at least one person at the scene for major injuries and they reportedly died on scene.
Meanwhile, they transported a second person to a nearby hospital where a blood technician was requested to determine if drugs and or alcohol were involved in the crash.
The cause of the crash and liability is under investigation by police.
