Man, 30, Killed, 2 Women Injured in Crash at Antioch Intersection
ANTIOCH, Calif. (April 16, 2024) — A 30-year-old man died and two women were injured Sunday in crash at 10th Street and Auto Center Drive in Antioch.
The two-vehicle traffic accident occurred at 4:07 p.m. on Sunday, April 14th, according to Contra Costa News.
Police responded to the scene of the crash between the drivers of a blue Acura sedan and a silver Lexus SUV.
The man who died was driving his Acura northbound on Auto Center Drive before he entered the intersection at West 10th Street and collided with a westbound silver Lexus SUV.
Fatal Antioch Crash in Contra Costa County
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded and located the 30-year-old man with major injuries, but unfortunately, he died at the scene, police said.
Meanwhile, the female driver and female passenger in the Lexus SUV were both transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. One sustained major injuries and was airlifted to the hospital and the other was taken by ground ambulance. Both occupants of the Lexus were 33 years old.
Meanwhile, the Antioch Police Department is heading up the investigation to determine fault for the crash and would like witnesses to call 925-779-6864.
