Albert Flores, Zaira Y. Aviles Killed in Apple Valley Crash
APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (March 8, 2024) — Albert Flores, 18, and Zaira Y. Aviles, 18, both of Colton, died in a rollover crash in Apple Valley on the Interstate 15 Freeway.
The deadly crash occurred at around 7:16 a.m. on March 6th, according to Victor Valley News Group and the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the solo-vehicle collision on the northbound I-15 Freeway, just north of Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley.
The teenage driver and passenger were traveling together in a 2023 Kia Forte. The vehicle was traveling northbound at high speed when its driver lost control and the car veered off the right side of the freeway.
The driver and passenger from the Kia were ejected after the car exited the freeway and went into the open desert before it overturned several times.
Both occupants from the Kia died at the scene of the crash in Apple Valley.
