Pedestrian Killed on 91 Freeway in Bellflower
BELLFLOWER, Calif. (April 5, 2021) – A fatal Bellflower pedestrian accident happened Sunday night on an off-ramp from the Artesia (91) Freeway.
A driver struck the pedestrian about 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 4th on the Clark Avenue off-ramp. The off ramp allows vehicles to exit the westbound Artesia Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian suffered severe injuries in the collision. Paramedics responded and rushed the person to a hospital where they later died, according to the CHP.
Additionally, there were no further details about the pedestrian’s death. It’s unknown at this time what led up to the fatal Bellflower pedestrian accident. Also, the identity of the victim has not been released.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert at 8:23 p.m. and closed down the Clark Avenue off-ramp. Later, the off-ramp reopened at 11:50 p.m.
Investigators are seeking to determine fault for the fatal Bellflower pedestrian accident.
