Bicyclist Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Hamilton Avenue
SAN JOSE, Calif. (March 12, 2024) — A bicycle rider died at the hospital after being critically injured in a traffic accident involving a motorcycle on Hamilton Avenue in West San Jose.
The collision occurred at around 6:43 p.m. on Thursday, March 7th in the 4400 block Hamilton Avenue, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
Authorities reported a man riding on a 2018 black Kawasaki Ninja was heading eastbound on Hamilton Avenue and collided with a woman riding a bicycle who was crossing Hamilton Avenue in a northbound direction.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured woman to a hospital where she died this past Sunday, March 10th, the report said.
The motorcyclist stopped and police conducted an interview with the person about what happened, but no arrests were made. Alcohol and or drugs were not a factor in the collision.
Finally, the identity of the woman who died will be released by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The bicycle accident on Hamilton Avenue remains under investigation to determine fault.
