Fatal Crash on Interstate 210 Freeway in Pasadena
PASADENA, Calif. (Feb. 7, 2022) – A fatal car accident on the Interstate 210 Freeway happened early Monday morning at the Lake Avenue off ramp in Pasadena.
The deadly crash happened about 2:35 a.m. on February 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened in the westbound Interstate 210 Freeway No. 4 and 5 lanes due to unknown circumstances. Police closed down those lanes of the freeway due to the crash about 3 a.m., according to the CHP.
There are very few details available at this time.
Investigators with the California Highway Patrol Traffic Management Center continue to work on the case.
So far it’s unknown how many vehicles were involved or if it was a vehicle versus pedestrian accident, according to CHP Officer Moises Marroquin.
The Interstate 210 Freeway reopened to traffic about 7:30 a.m.
