Rollover Crash on Surprise Valley Road in Modoc County
CEDARVILLE, Calif. (March 28, 2024) — At least one person died in a fatal Cedarville car accident happened Thursday afternoon on Surprise Valley Road in Modoc County.
The solo-vehicle crash occurred in the 19200 block of County Road 1 at around 12:28 p.m. on March 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the vehicle overturned and landed back on its wheels. Two people were injured in the crash and transported to Surprise Valley Hospital, but one person died from their injuries.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the damaged vehicles from the roadway and an investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
