Deadly Crash on I-215 Freeway in Colton
COLTON, Calif. (Nov. 24, 2021) – A fatal crash on the Interstate 215 Freeway happened early Wednesday morning at Washington Street.
The deadly crash happened about 4:54 a.m. on Nov. 24th in the southbound lanes of the I-215, just north of Washington Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP report stated a dark-colored vehicle went off the freeway after it struck the center divider. The vehicle wound up in the nearby Walmart Garden Center. Police did not mention what led up to the collision, nor how many vehicles were involved.
At least one person died in the Colton crash on the 215 Freeway, but it’s unknown how many. Also, the report did not say if anyone was injured in the collision or went to a hospital.
At 5:17 a.m., CHP officials requested the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner respond to the fatal crash on the 215 Freeway.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision as well as liability.
