2-Vehicle Rollover Crash on 73 Toll Road on June 15
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (June 16, 2021) — A fatal crash on the 73 Toll Road left one person dead Tuesday afternoon near Jamboree Road.
A white BMW 540i sedan reportedly collided with an older, red vehicle causing it to overturn on Tuesday, June 15th near the border of Newport Beach and Irvine.
The collision happened in southbound lanes of the roadway, the California Highway Patrol said.
A witness told authorities the BMW may have been speeding prior to the collision.

Meanwhile, one of the occupants of an involved vehicle suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The Orange County Sheriff Coroner will release the identity of the person who died after their family has been notified.
There were no other injuries reported at this time. Additionally, it’s unknown what led up to the crash or if drugs and or alcohol were factors.
Investigators closed down both directions of the 73 toll road near the scene of the crash.
Also, the transition from the southbound 55 Freeway to the southbound 73 toll road was closed.
