Deadly Truck Accident at Otay Mesa and Harvest Roads
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (October 20, 2021) – A fatal crash at Otay Mesa Road and Harvest Road happened Wednesday morning in San Diego County.
The deadly crash happened about 8:16 a.m. on Oct. 20th in the 9400 block of Otay Mesa Road in San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol and San Diego News 10.
Man Killed in Broadside Crash at San Diego Intersection
The drivers of a big rig truck with two trailers collided with a white sedan at the intersection. However, the CHP report mentioned that one of the drivers broadsided the other one.
A man driving one of the vehicles died in the traffic accident, but CHP officials did not mention the identity. The San Diego Medical Examiner will release the victim’s name after relatives have been notified.
Investigators seek to determine fault for the crash just east of state Route 125 and north of state Route 11.
